Modern Administration Systems Acquires EasyAdmin Business Line

Investment expands reach in the union and Taft-Hartley fund market

Cambridge, MA - - April 21, 2023 - - Modern Administration Systems, LLC today announced it has entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire all operating assets related to the EasyAdmin brand as well as the healthcare integration services line from Decusoft, Inc., a leading SaaS provider of enterprise-class compensation, incentive, and total rewards management.

Modern Administration Systems was launched by Susan Loconto Penta and Michael J. Goldberger, owners and co-founders of MIDIOR Consulting, which has been a strategic partner with Decusoft, and has a long history and deep expertise in the union and fund administration sector. Decusoft approached Penta and Goldberger last year to discuss the possibility of an investment, and after careful consideration, the decision was made to establish a new entity and acquire the business lines. “Upon our board of directors’ decision to concentrate our focus on the Human Capital Management sector, it became imperative to find and select an entity to acquire the non-HCM assets that aligned with Decusoft’s core values and that placed a high priority on employees and customers in terms of culture and support,” said Bob Laurenzo, former CEO and co-owner of Decusoft. “Leveraging the long-term partnership with Susan and Michael along with their deep expertise in the multi-employer and public fund administration sector, we have no doubt that Modern Administration Systems will expand the support of our existing customers, invest in the EasyAdmin platform, and support future growth.”

Modern Administration Systems will be managed as a separate entity, and features an existing, long- tenured team that will continue to operate both the EasyAdmin and healthcare integration businesses. However, Penta and Goldberger anticipate that the acquisition will bring benefits to the MIDIOR client base. The acquisition of EasyAdmin is part of Penta and Goldberger's strategy to expand the options for software and related services available to unions and funds.
